Important Notice

Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Cemetery will be open to families of the deceased as of Friday, March 31st.

The opening hours of the Cemetery will be made public on March 30th. All family members of the deceased will be greeted at the main entrance of the cemetery on Côte-des-Neiges Road. They will be informed of the speed limits, the safety instructions to follow, and the sections that will be inaccessible to avoid the risk of accidents.

Bereaved families will continue to be given priority for mausoleum burials and cremation services. However, burials in the field will only be resumed for the benefit of bereaved families if a special agreement is reached with the operations union or if the strike of the operations employees ends.

We deeply apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding. The Cemetery remains available to continue negotiating with union representatives in order to reach an agreement as quickly as possible. For more information, please consult the press release here.

Eco-Friendly Options

Inspired by the nature of Mount Royal, we have developed eco-friendly options to allow people to make their final gesture kind to the planet.

Cremation

Cremation is now chosen by nearly 75% of Quebecers. There are many reasons to choose this option, including its simplicity and the possibilities it offers.

Traditional Burials

Thanks to its exceptional location on Mount Royal, Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Cemetery has a large surface area that allows it to offer many plots even today.

Mausoleums : Burial in a crypt or columbarium

Burial in a columbarium allows the insertion of an urn in a niche; burial in a crypt allows the insertion of a coffin in a dedicated space in a mausoleum.

Commemoration

Because we know that your loved ones are not forgotten, we offer several memorial services and items to honor their memory.

Funeral Prearrangements

Funeral prearrangements allow you to plan your final wishes while you are alive, and to ensure that they are respected at the time of your death.
